1. Don’t Work From Couch.
But the couch is too comfortable, right? Think this way, Do you get a couch at your collge? No! So, don’t work from the couch. Instead, set a workspace for you and work from there. You’ll see that you are more productive than before.
2. Make Sure To Prioritize.
When I started online classes, I didn’t prioritize my time and work which is why I struggled a lot and as a result, I stopped blogging for 2-3 weeks because I was struggling with my online classes, assignments, and due dates. So, it is better to prioritize your day.
3. Use A Good Note-Taking App.
I personally use Notability on my iPad and trust me that this app is amazing. I even use it in my MacBook and it is super easy and amazing to use. Also, a good note-taking app is a must in an online class because you don’t want to struggle and get irritated during your class. You can even take handwritten notes if you are more comfortable with that.
4. Use A Planner.
I always have believed that Planner is a must for everyone. The planner changed my life a lot and helped me to stay organized and also in prioritizing my day. If you haven’t used a planner yet, try one. I got my first planner in my senior year and I am using it since then and have noticed a different pattern in my working too.
5. Print Things Out.
If you are taking classes through ZOOM or whatever platform, your teacher might share his window and show their work. So, what I do is, I usually take screenshots of their work and then later on print it out. And I work better with printed material. So, if you are like me who works better with printed stuff, better print it out!
6. Have A Physical Textbook.
I have noticed that my classmates, don’t even open their textbooks during the lectures. If you do this too, change your habit. Try using a physical textbook during your class. It will not only help you understand better but will also help you to be aware of what is going on.
7. Get Dressed.
You don’t just go to college on PJs, without taking a shower, right? So, please don’t do this in your online class too. Dress the way you would dress for your college. Maybe not exactly like that but mostly like it. Wear clothes that make you feel more productive and say no to leisure clothes.
8. Put Your Phone Aside.
My phone disturbs me a lot during my online classes. My WhatsApp group buzzes a lot because students are chatting over there during the class. So, the best way to avoid disturbance is to put your phone away. Just through it in your bed and study in your work area. Don’t touch your phone until the class is over.
9. Learn How To Use The Online System.
The best way to Ace your class is also to know how exactly you have to use the platform you are studying from. So, better see some youtube videos and get started.
10. Create A Schedule.
I also get some pre shooted videos from my teachers. So, what I have to do is to just watch them at any time of the day and review the sheets they had given. If you also get some offline material, you better create a schedule and work accordingly.
11. Limit Distractions While Studying.
I have a cute furry brother who unintentionally disturbs me a lot during my class or tests. So, I try to get him out of my room to limit my distractions. You can even limit your distraction by getting a dedicated area for your study.
12. Take It Seriously.
I know this might sound silly but it is important to take your class seriously. There are students who mess around and create chaos in your online class. So, you better not be that student if you want to Ace your Online Class.
And Most Important, Be In A Mindset That Your Are Physically In Your College. So, Work & Behave Accordingly.
