Well! If I ask you, who are you? Your reply would be- My names’s blah..blah.. I am currently working/studying _____. I am xx Years Old and other information about yourselves. Right?
But my question was Who Are You, In Reality. In your real life, behind the doors, after 12:00 A.M at night. Who Are You Actually?
I have struggled to find who I am in reality. I have struggled to find my identity and I struggled with it for the longest time I could remember. I know how it feels when you don’t have any idea about who you are, what you are doing and what else.
I know this might sound silly but the best way to know yourself is to accept yourself. Accepting yourself may sound so last year to you, but ask yourself If you are actually accepting yourself or not? And by accepting I mean accepting yourself with all of your powers and flaws.
The second thing is to accept your thoughts. Accepting your thoughts the way they were, gives you the power to love yourself more and to know yourself a little better every day.
Well, I don’t know about you guys but I am a bad singer, passionate woman, curious kid, sarcastic friend, loving sister, newbie baker, idiot gamer. And thanks to this quarantine, I am knowing myself better everyday. I am learning about myself everyday.
But still, there are lots of voids or gaps in who I think I am and who I am in reality. And trust me when I say this, that I come across many questions like who I am, what I am, etc. and that saddest part is most of the time I have no answers to these silly questions.
If you really want to know who you really are, then believe in yourself. Believe in your thoughts, believe in every turn that you take in your life. Don’t deny your feelings. Accept your feelings, the way they are meant to be.
Always remember that knowing yourself doesn’t mean you have to know everything that is going on or that is about to happen. Instead, knowing yourself means to know the real you behind that mask. You have to be confident about what you do and believe in yourself no matter what comes next. Be confident enough to cherish and acknowledge your strengths.
Be brave enough to say; You know what, All of this is who I am. I make a ton of mistakes. I am messy. I am forgetful. I am joyful. I am sarcastic. And, you know what, I am doing my best with all I’ve got. And I am so proud of that. I am so proud of myself and I will always be proud of myself. I will always love and cherish myself the way I am!
Remember, to know yourself, you have to accept yourself the way you are. Acknowledge your mistakes. Admit your flaws. Encourage your thinking. But most importantly BE YOURSELF. Be the Real YOU.
Life is a journey that you take and I am ready for this adventure and so should you be.
